Brexit – International Delivery Information

The UK exited the European Union on 1st January 2021. The UK government is working with the European Union to manage the transition period, however, there are some temporary changes to the dispatch and delivery processes for our international customers. We have outlined these below:

If You Are Ordering From Within The EU

Order dispatch

We are experiencing some delays regarding the dispatch of orders to our European customers as we enter a transition period between the UK and the EU as new processes and checks are put in place. Please do not worry, if your order is delayed, for any reason, please contact us on customerservice@tateossian.com or DHL for more information. Please note that if you contact DHL you will need to have your tracking number in hand.

Please note: due to the United Kingdom leaving the European Union, any orders containing silver products may face unexpected delays. Please contact customer services (customerservice@tateossian.com) for more information.

Customs & duty

We are committed to the continuity of our supply and we have been working closely with our logistic partner to offer a service that includes the cost of all customs and duties fees, this means there will be no unexpected costs upon delivery. All orders purchased from our European website will be dispatched as DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) and the customer shall not incur any customs duty.

For more information regarding customs duties, we advise all our European customers to get in touch with their country’s Revenues and Customs office.

Returning your item

If you have placed an order from within the EU and would like to return it to Tateossian please note that you will have to complete a customs declaration before the order can be sent back to the UK. Moreover, you are responsible for paying return shipping costs. If You Are Ordering From Northern Ireland

Order dispatch  

As we enter a transition phase post-Brexit, we anticipate that there may be some delays to orders being dispatched to Northern Ireland as the new systems and processes are established. If your order is delayed for any reason, please contact us on customerservice@tateossian.com or DHL for more information. Please note that if you contact DHL you will need to have your tracking number in hand.

If You Are Ordering From The Rest of World (Non-EU Customers)

Order dispatch & return

Please be aware that when a package is shipped internationally, it may be subjected to import taxes and duties. The amount to be paid depends on the type of goods and where they are produced (Country of Origin). As stated on our website, it is the customers’ responsibility to cover any duties and fees levied by their own country.  If you do not pay this fee, local custom regulators will not release the package to you and will send it back to Tateossian head office in London. If the parcel is returned, the return charge will be deducted from your refund. For more information regarding customs duties, we advise all our European customers to get in touch with their country’s Revenues and Customs office.

**Jewellery restrictions on Russia - We are currently unable to dispatch order containing jewellery to Russia due to customs regulations. We suggest that you arrange for your shipment to an alternative destination. 
To ensure a swift and safe delivery, Tateossian uses DHL Express Worldwide which requires a signature upon delivery.


Therefore we are unable to ship to P.O. Boxes or BFPOs.
If no one is available to sign for your parcel at the specified address, DHL will leave a card and telephone number for you to make alternative arrangements at your convenience.

 

CUSTOM DUTIES

On orders from countries outside the European Union, Import duty applies over a certain value. This is a tax that the recipient has to pay as an importer in order to bring foreign goods into his or her country. The amount to be paid depends on the type of goods and where they come from. In the event that this fee is not paid by the recipient, customs will not release the package and will send it back to the Tateossian in London. For more information regarding customs duties, we advise our customers to get in touch with their country’s Revenues and Customs office.
